Senior Technology / Security Consultant – New York, NY

Summary: The candidate will be responsible for providing technology and security services in a consulting role. Responsibilities will include Windows and Linux systems administration, networking, database support, security services, and others. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and must be able to quickly learn on the job. Demonstrated ability to manage projects is required for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide hardware and software support to various clients
  • Architect and support Linux and Windows solutions
  • Manage and support relational database systems, including MSSQL, MySQL, and Oracle
  • Support web stacks, including LAMP and IIS +.NET
  • Maintain and administer Microsoft Exchange
  • Provide network infrastructure support
  • Maintain security devices and firewalls
  • Understand and communicate information security best practices
  • Exhibit excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to support the team after regular business hours
  • Analyze new technologies and assess costs and benefits

Qualifications:

          • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, and Group Policies is required.
          • Advanced knowledge in web application stack components is needed, including Apache, Nginx, PHP, IIS, and .NET.
          • Ability to configure, maintain, and tune relational database systems.
          • Functional knowledge of Intel-based hardware is required.
          • Experience supporting Linux systems, including RedHat/CentOS and Debian/Ubuntu.
          • Must have scripting knowledge and practice in Windows and Linux environments, including Bash, Python, VBScript, PowerShell, and WMI. Programming experience is a plus.
          • Advanced knowledge of managing, configuring, and tuning database systems is required.
          • Functional experience with load balancers, firewalls, switches, and routers is preferred.
          • Knowledge of virtualization systems, like VMware and Hyper-V, is preferred.
          • Information security auditing experience is a plus.
          • Penetration testing experience is a plus.
          • Experience in both Enterprise and SMB technology.
          • Must possess advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to function independently.
          • Information Security experience is a plus.
          • Must be willing to travel.
          • Must be highly organized, motivated, and independent.

          • BA/BS or equivalent work experience

Forensic Technologist (Junior and Senior Positions Available)–New York, NY

Summary: Provide forensic technical production ensuring optimum productivity, quality, and deadline compliance. Directly responsible for the use of analytical and investigative techniques to identify, collect, examine and preserve evidence/information which is magnetically stored or encoded. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, operational management experience, and the ability to be a team player are essential.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the regional strategic goals and current departmental standards
  • Provide testing and validation of all hardware and software
  • Lead and assist with the creation, maintenance and implementation of the department’s documentation store and master library
  • Serve on forensic projects and functionally participate in project meetings
  • Incumbent will maintain a collaborative work environment with the managing partner, other regional directors and VP of Technology

Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
      • Experience with networking environments including Novell and Microsoft Windows NT
      • Professional training of computer investigation techniques, application, and legal aspects is highly desired
      • Ability to independently conduct comprehensive analysis in all types of forensic microcomputer and computer media searches and examinations
      • Knowledge of computer science and laws related to computer evidence recovery as well as procedures for the collection, preservation and presentation of computer evidence
      • Skilled in the application of computer science to recover data which has been deleted/erased, fragmented, hidden, or encrypted from data storage devices
      • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and maintain hardware and software necessary for the performance of computer related investigations
      • Ongoing knowledge of state-of-the-art computer hardware and software technology which impact computer related investigations
      • 2 to 5 years computer forensic experience
      • EnCase (EnCE) certification and the AccessData (ACE) certification
      • Law Enforcement, FBI or Military forensic experience preferred
      • Ability to testify is desired but not required
      • Electronic discovery experience preferred
      • Hands-on collection experience is a must including but not limited to the following: Laptops / Desktops / File Servers / Hand held devices
      • Hardware experience
      • Assembly and disassembly experience
