Hillary MerriamLitigation technology and electronic discovery management can sound like a foreign language to people who are unfamiliar with the subject. But Hillary Merriam has a real gift for helping executives get fluent fast. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that she grew up on a U.S Army base for 12 years in Germany. She grew up translating and went on to get her B.S. in International Business/Germanic Studies from Penn State University (University Park). It could also be because Hillary is so enthusiastic and energetic. From the very beginning of her career, her instinct has been to dive right in. “I got my start working for litigation support, which was a fantastic learning experience. It was so fast-paced, and I had great opportunities to learn by doing.” Hillary explains. “That sort of pace and energy suits me, which is why I love living in South Florida – it’s a mix of Europe and Manhattan.” Hillary’s energy and ability to translate complex subjects into clear language have made her an indispensable resource for clients who need to stay ahead of the changes in requirements. “My favorite thing about being at Capsicum is the world-class credentials our people have, and their willingness to do whatever it takes. So many come from a military background, like CIA or FBI. It’s a real team of experts, and it’s inspiring to be part of a team that is so strong.”
