From Berwyn to the Big City: Capsicum Celebrates 15 Years!

The month of September is an exciting time for Capsicum Group. We have been proudly serving both national and international clients for 15 years! Founded as a subsidiary of Pepper Hamilton, our roots took hold in the Berwyn, Pennsylvania area – but we quickly saw the need to expand and became an independent firm relocating to the Big City of Philadelphia. Ever since 2006, we have maintained an office at the Cira Centre adjacent to the iconic 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. Since that time, we have also opened up major offices in New York City, New York, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our team is always growing and we are excited to be continually expanding.
The technology scene has changed and developed significantly over the last 15 years, both within our own company and in the industry as a whole. Capsicum has progressed right alongside incredible tech advancements, and continues to offer expertise on the cutting edge. We have seen cellular phone capabilities skyrocket, networks grow, and the social media world take over. We have witnessed storage capacities expand from mere megabytes to petabytes in size. And along the way, we have enjoyed the many challenges that this ever-changing industry has presented to us on a daily basis.
Capsicum’s casework has taken our experts to Kiev, London, Frankfort, Sydney and Puerto Rico (to name a few), and we have had the opportunity to work on several notable projects such as the largest trade secret infringement case in recent years, as an expert in the MF Global matter, the Adelphia bankruptcy, the Madoff investigation, black box recoveries, as a court appointed forensic expert along with cases small and large for firms like yours.
In addition to being involved in some incredibly interesting and complex matters, we have also had some fun over the years as a team. Our company outings and events have taken us on a “backstage” tour of Disney World, a high energy scavenger hunt in downtown Newport, Rhode Island, and on a sailing adventure in Annapolis, Maryland. We have soaked up the summer sun in Atlanta, fished the beautiful (and just a tad buggy) Everglades, and enjoyed some paintballing in the Poconos. Perhaps our most enjoyable moments were those spent volunteering, when we prepared holiday home-cooked meals for families at the Gift of Life House, the American Cancer Society and the Ronald McDonald House.
Most importantly, a huge thank you goes out to our loyal and dedicated clients for helping make our last 15 years so successful. We could not have done it without their trust and investment in our team and services. It has been a pleasure providing a high level of customer service to clients that have represented a broad diversity of engagements and organizational size. We have worked on small, personal matters and large, multifaceted litigation cases.
