Each day cyber threats continue to evolve, becoming more sophisticated and prevalent. Thus, this year’s theme, “Secure Our World,” serves as a vital reminder to individuals, organizations, and governments about the essential need to protect our digital presence as well as create and maintain secure digital ecosystems. 
 
While firewalls, antivirus software, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and strong passwords are essential components of a comprehensive security strategy, there's one often overlooked aspect that plays a pivotal role in safeguarding your digital assets: software updates. Although it is a simple concept, many of us have been culpable of thinking, “Not another software update!” As tedious as it may seem, it is of critical importance to keep software updated not just on your computer and laptop, but cell phone, as well as tablet.
